At the last couple of sessions we've had 15 players turn up... great to see the interest in Walking Football is continuing.
So, we tried 7 versus 8 which was very crowded, bit like a pinball; the pace was still hectic, but had little flow to it as there was so little space.
Last week we experimented with 3 sets of 5-a-side in a round robin of 6 matches meaning we all got 40 minutes playing time. Consensus of the Court Oak committee was that this was more preferable. Lot more space for proper football, although the extra competitive element meant that there was substantially more running that with have to be cracked down upon.
For the record, the Blue vests ran out winners
W D L F A
Blue 3 1 0 9 2
Yellow 1 1 2 6 7
White 1 0 3 4 10
With so many regular players now, plus some coming back from injury, the membership is technically closed. I'll create a waiting list if needed, but its important if members anticipate being away for a time they let Steve know
